Sometimes your just sitting at home twiddling your thumbs thinking man wouldn't it be so nice to shoot abroad again... And then your fairy godmother hears you and pow your packing your bags to head to Washington DC to shoot an Austrailian and Americans wedding.
I had met Krystal 2 years ago and she always said as soon as she saw my work she was going to have me as her photographer when she got married. When she got engaged to an American I was like aw poop.... But luckily for me she and Taylor both loved my work and shipped, well flew me over to America to photograph their wedding. Lucky lucky girl. I was able to spend some time in New York after their wedding and celebrate independance day with my hubby, it was so much fun and a dream come true. Sometimes I feel so lucky to be able to give people ever lasting memories of 'the big day' So fingers crossed next year takes me somewhere exhotic also.
Their wedding was super special and so different, boys went off to play basketball in the morning and ladies got all dolled up at the house. The bride and groom did a secret reveal before they got married, as I was not allowed to photograph their ceremony and they really want to capture seeing each other for the first time. It was so magical and I am so happy I got to record this magical event, you tend to always forget this is the first time they see each other when the Bride is walking down the isle. This was such a nice way to reveal each other in secret where it is just the two of you. We took family and couple pictures at the Mormon temple in DC and then moved on to a forest near the grooms home to do wedding party picture and some more bride and groom only ones. It was super fun and very chilled. I love working with brides and grooms who have such fun and exciting ideas, it's so nice to do new things.
later in the evening they had a short ring ceremony at a friends house and some evening snacks and a bit of a party, this was such a chilled and low key wedding with all the frills, love and fun of a big wedding. Doesn't matter when, where, how you get married, it just matters that it reflects the bride and groom.
